Does your current project need help with earth or slope stabilization? Then the soil nail experts here at UMA Geotechnical Construction are equipped to help. Soil nailing is an earth stabilization method that uses grouted tension resisting steel elements ( nails) designed for permanent or temporary support.  Our team uses soil nails to help stabilize slopes and landslides and provide earth retention for building excavations, plants, parking structures, tunnels, deep cuts, and repairing existing retaining walls.

Here are some quick benefits of choosing soil nails for your project:

Get Fast Foundation Repair With Our Rock Anchors

Another foundation repair technique our contractors are well skilled in is installing rock anchors. Rock anchors generally consist of steel ( bars or strands) grouted in a drilled hole. A full-length hole is drilled through the soil and into the bond zone in soil or rock using casing if necessary. Thread bar or strand tension is then inserted into the hole, and the hole is filled with high-strength grout. After that, any casing that has been used is removed, and the bars or strands are tensioned to the rock surface.

Rock anchors are most often used to resist uplift forces on foundations, for excavation support, or as a part of permanent retaining walls. For Minimal Environmental Impact, Use Retention Nails

In addition to soil nails and rock anchors, our talented geotechnical team also specializes in installing retention nails for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Retention nails can be utilized in the most poorly compacted ground conditions and with minimal soil disturbance during installation. The percussion-driven retention nails can be stressed to an exact holding capacity and promptly made operational. It can be driven from ground level utilizing portable equipment. The retention nails we install have minimal impact environmentally. Here are examples of places we can use retention nails:

  • Bridges
  • Drainage
  • Erosion Control
  • Foundations
  • Portable Buildings/Structures
  • Retaining Walls
  • Rock Retention
  • Sheet Piling
  • Slope Stabilization
  • Temporary Works
